Asked by: Srijith Subject: le pendulum - transformed to anharmonic Question: here is a question that arouse out of debate. It might sound silly but i was not able to find a solution. If i take a simple pendulum and swing it slightly it will oscillate with sme time period. If i increase swing a little it will oscillate with larger amplitude but with the same time period. This will continue to happen till the amplitude becomes large. Now how much big amplitude is considered to be little. I mean what is the maximum amplitude beyond which the pendulum will become anharmonic oscillator. -- Visitor Ip: 115.69.241.23
